The San Diego and Imperial Counties Community Colleges Learning Resources Cooperative (SDICCCLRC), also called the "County Consortium" or the "Cooperative," is a subcommittee of the San Diego and Imperial Counties Community Colleges Association reporting to the Committee on Instructional Services. Organization of the Cooperative consists of an Executive Board and one standing committee, the Media Committee.

Purpose:

• To promote development and application of improved learning resources services on a cooperative basis, including the purchase and distribution of educational media, coordination of shared resources through interlibrary loans, the development of improved materials circulation systems and data management procedures, and other systems and activities the Cooperative determines appropriate.
• To promote professional and financial support for implementation of Cooperative projects by providing direct communication with the San Diego and Imperial Counties Community Colleges Association and other local, state and  federal agencies and organizations.
• To promote the application of improved standards as they relate to facilities, equipment, materials, programs, services, activities, and staff involved with learning resources in San Diego and Imperial Counties.
• To promote leadership, communication and cooperation among area and state community college learning resources personnel.

Membership:

Membership in the Cooperative shall consist of the public community colleges in San Diego and Imperial Counties.

Executive Board:

Board members are learning resources administrator(s) or a designee of each member college. Chairperson, secretary, and treasurer are elected biennally during even years. See the tab for Rotation Schedules for full schedule of officer (by institution) rotation through 2030. Agenda items include reports of relationships with other regional groups. 

Media Committee:

The Media Committee is a standing committee of the Cooperative, determined and appointed by the Board. See the tab for Rotation Schedules for full schedule of officer (by institution) rotation through 2030. This committee makes recommendations to the Board regarding the maintenance of a media collection comprising approximately 3000 units. This collection is shared by the nine member libraries and is physically housed and maintained by the San Diego County Office of Education.
